The hole works on any tide higher than 15.5 ft. It begins to work 2 hours prior to Galway Bay high tide, on tides between 15.5 and 16.5ft. Above this the hole will form 2.5 hours before hight tide.

Location

Oranmore Tidal Hole is located at Renville Pier, just outside Oranmore village, which is 20 minute drive from Galway city.


Access

Required conditions

The hole works on any tide higher than 15.5 ft. It begins to work 2 hours prior to Galway Bay high tide, on tides between 15.5 and 16.5ft. Above this the hole will form 2.5 hours before hight tide.
