Location Athleague Weir is located at the edge of the village.When you come into the village from Galway you come down the hill and take a left then you Drive about five hundred yards and cross the bridge there is a car park on your right hand side.

Feature If you walk up on top of the bridge on the left hand side you can see the weir.The best time is Between November to March, Depends allot on the rainfall.Most of the time it is good for surfing and and top spins etc.There is a gatekeeper who controls the gates.Said Gatekeeper changes the gates the odd time.This feature can be very good most of the time.

Levels Best recommended for intermediate kayaker's level 3 plus.
