Access
Required conditions
The hole works when on a spring tide, as the tide rise it flows through two pillars into a lagoon. The seaward side gets backed up and a hole form between the two pillars.
The hole works on any tide higher than 15.5 ft. It begins to work 2 hours prior to Galway Bay high tide, on tides between 15.5 and 16.5ft. Above this the hole will form 2.5 hours before hight tide.
